Looking for Andrew McCarthy Andrew McCarthy is my third novel. It's about the 1980s, and my belief that you don't really grow up until you near thirty. It focuses on a bunch of people who feel their lives are hollow- they have jobs and flats and everything, but feel empty, and realise it's because their life expectations were raised too high through watching too many John Hughes movies as teenagers.
